PTPN expands national outpatient rehab network

PTPN, the country’s premier network of independent rehabilitation therapists, has added more than a dozen provider locations to its network in recent months, increasing its ability to provide physical, occupational and speech therapy services across the country.

“This kind of growth in our national network means we’re even better able to serve the rehab needs of patients, employers and healthcare organizations,” said PTPN President Michael Weinper, PT, DPT, M.P.H. “It’s the direct result of our commitment to providing the highest quality rehabilitation care by supporting independent therapists who own their own practices and meet PTPN’s rigorous membership standards.”

The private practice locations that have recently passed PTPN’s strict credentialing inspection and qualified for PTPN membership are:

Therapists who apply for PTPN membership cite a number of reasons for joining the network, including access to PTPN’s group contracts with insurance companies and health plans, as well as the support and resources PTPN provides to practices looking to expand their services and revenue sources.

“I chose PTPN due to the ease of accessing insurance companies with just one application,” said Lea Hay, PT, owner of Legacy Rehabilitation in Colorado Springs. “Another reason would be Physiquality, which helps practice owners like me expand the wellness and fitness services we offer.” PTPN’s Physiquality initiative helps PTPN member locations offer a wide range of health, fitness and wellness services to people of all ages and all fitness levels, all supervised by clinically-trained, carefully screened physical therapists. Lea adds that she would recommend PTPN to other therapists who own private practices. “PTPN is a partnership you will be happy to align with,” she said.

Tim Butcher, PT, CSCS, an owner of Champion Physical Therapy, said his reasons for adding four clinic locations to PTPN’s Tennessee network are “the ease of the application process and the number of existing contracts we have access to from Day One.” He added, “We also appreciate the support and resources from PTPN to deal with issues we may have with insurance carriers.” To other private practice owners, Tim says, “Joining PTPN is a no brainer — do it! The process is seamless.”

Another new PTPN member concurs. “PTPN is very easy to work with and has forged relationships with insurance companies over the years,” said Mike Conlin, PT, co-owner of Anatomix Physical Therapy in Hammond, La. “When the opportunity for us to join PTPN arose, we decided that it would be in our best interest to join.”
