Q: Do I have to accept all of PTPN’s managed care contracts?
A: No. PTPN offers its members the option to reject fee-for-service contracts at any time. However,
90% of our members do take 90% of our contracts. You are required to accept capitation contracts (if any apply to your area).
Q: What is my area of exclusivity?
A: It varies by location. PTPN’s geographic rules are generally based on population per member office in a given service area. The greater the population, the closer you can be to another
member; the smaller the population, the farther away you must be. Distance is calculated "as the crow flies." We also have targets for offices offering hand, pediatric,
speech and occupational therapy. Call your PTPN office for
the current status in your area.
Q: Can I move my practice and remain a member of PTPN?
A: Yes, but you must do it within our moving rules. Call the PTPN office before you sign that lease!
Q: How do I know who the PTPN patients are and how much I can expect to get paid for the services I’ve rendered them?
A: Look at your Master Contract Details List. It should have all the information you need. Or, call your PTPN office for more information.
Q: Why do I have to send my claims to PTPN?
A: You have agreed to participate in PTPN’s Quality Assurance program. To do this, we must have your claims data.
This also allows us to report back to you, and the payers, on the value of PTPN membership.
Q: Are there any value-added benefits of membership?
A: Yes. PTPN has arrangements with vendors who offer everything from equipment, to supplies, to software.

See the preferred vendors section of the web site for the national contracts. There are also local preferred vendors in each state.
PTPN provides educational seminars at discounted fees. We provide industry-related updates and information through our PTPNews & PTPN national member publications.
Q: How does Physiquality, PTPN's consumer brand, work for me?
A: We'll be marketing Physiquality to consumers as the premier brand for cash-pay health and wellness services. We'll promote it as a national "seal of approval" for health and wellness programs delivered by local PTPN providers. People who want Physiquality services will be directed to the participating
PTPN providers in their neighborhoods via the new Physiquality Web site and toll-free number. In order to participate in Physiquality, you can offer any of the Physiquality programs or products in your office. We've secured unprecedented agreements with our vendor partners, giving you access to pricing and features that you can't get outside PTPN.
Q: What’s the best way to keep up with what’s happening in
PTPN?
A: Read the PTPNews. Read the PTPN national member newsletter. Come to our annual member meetings. Come to our educational seminars. Call your PTPN office and
ask! Keep visiting the web site!
Q: Can I join other networks?
A: Yes, but we don’t recommend it. When you do, you are only competing with yourself. You cannot, however, be an owner, manager, employee, agent, etc., of a competing network.
Q: Is PTPN HIPAA-compliant?
A: Yes. PTPN is committed to following the HIPAA guidelines and assisting our members with their HIPAA compliance.
